Title: Interface Manager (posted 8.30.10)

The Interface Manager oversees the teams responsible for the implementation and support of data interfaces and nomenclature normalization, which support health information exchange. Required job knowledge includes familiarity with advanced concepts, practices, and procedures in programming (i.e., Java); HL7 message standards; database management systems; medical terminology; and data privacy practices and laws. The job also requires a general understanding of clinical processes, clinical terminology, and current challenges in the industry.

The position oversees an experienced team of interface programmers and data mappers. The incumbent makes tactical decisions regarding work tasks or processes and ensures team assignments are completed in a quality and timely manner with minimal errors according to requirements. He/She prioritizes goals from multiple projects and integrates them into an action plan. He/She seeks feedback from others as necessary to ensure decisions do not conflict with business needs.

The position requires the following education and work experience:
* Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
* Seven years of related work experience in information systems, and
* Three or more years of managing healthcare programmers and/or interface engineers

Title: Data Analyst (posted 7.30.10)
The Data Analyst will work with others to create and maintain the Logical and Physical data models for the company. He/she will provide input and support of the data architecture and production implementation and design for primary data. Works with development partners, both internal and external, to ensure data standards and architecture designs are compatible, accessible and appropriate.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Creation and maintenance of logical and physical data models of Enterprise-Scale Data designs required
• Definition of best practices and standards in the data modeling process
• Participate in projects to support the development and DBA staff in their implementation of the data models
• Integrate newly sourced data into the models

Primary Responsibilities:
• 30-50% Provides expertise, offers technical solutions, and conducts research as needed to maximize the quality of all current and new data design and structure needs
• 15-25% Design, development, testing and Production implementation of new and enhanced medical informatics query needs as relate to the data and models
• 20-25% Administration, support, and tuning of the models
• 10-20% Creation and administration of project plans, regular progress reports and ensuring assignments are completed to specifications and on time

Skills:
• Database and data architecture design and development environment based on Oracle and/or PostgreSQL
• Strong data modeling and logical and physical data structures
• Experience with Normalization and De-normalization
• Strong ETL and SQL coding skills
• Interaction with large database installations
• Ability to troubleshoot moderately complex to complex issues and resolve or make recommendations on solutions
• Ability to effectively interact with, and present to, all levels of management and technical peers on solutions, architecture and issues
• Ability to learn new and emerging technologies quickly

Requirements:
• Proven success architecting large-scale data designs, and data analysis
• Strong communication skills; able to translate highly complex technical issues to a non-technical audience
• BA/BS/BBA degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent

Preferred:
• Experience in Healthcare or other regulated environment
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server
• Knowledge or experience with data integration and BI / reporting tools

Title: Database Analyst (re-posted 6.28.10)
The Database Analyst provides support to the Clinical Quality area and will work with other IT staff to create, enhance and support appropriate IT systems.

Requirements:
• Work with our data trading partners (e.g., insurance companies, medical groups, etc…) to define data file layouts
• Transform and re-organize data received using T-SQL and SSIS to meet requirements of internal systems
• Perform data quality analysis and work on areas for improvement
• Perform some database maintenance tasks
• Run existing production data processes throughout the month

Qualified Candidates will possess:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Discipline, Technology or Related Field
• Experience working in, and supporting, a fast-paced and evolving environment
• Proven ability to adapt to and learn new technologies

Required Skills:
• Experience with SQL Server (2000 or higher version)

Title: Senior Interface Engineer (posted 5.7.10)
The Senior Interface Engineer builds, configures, and tests interfaces (currently HL7 v2) with healthcare organizations. The Senior Interface Engineer interacts with end users to ensure existing systems are meeting end user needs. Enhances, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots existing interfaces. The position requires familiarity with advanced concepts, practices, and procedures in programming (i.e., Java), HL7 message standards, database management systems, medical terminology, and data privacy practices and laws. Seven years of related work experience in information systems and five or more years of healthcare programming and/or interface experience are required. Prior medical-related work experience is preferred.

Title: LOINC Mapper/Developer (posted 4.22.10)
Position Summary: Translate lab compendia (catalogs) between laboratories in healthcare organizations, the LOINC international standard, and the Regenstrief Institute (RI) compendium. The position requires knowledge of advanced concepts, practices, and procedures with the following: HL7 message standards, database management systems, medical terminology, statistical analysis, and data privacy practices and laws. Preferred candidates have a Lab Tech background and are LIS Analysts in a hospital lab or reference lab setting.

Title: Network Communications Analyst
Position Summary: Develop and maintain secure connectivity with our clients. Desired knowledge includes VPN, SFTP, SSL, TLS, IPSec. Position will be part of the interface team with a dotted line to Sys Ops Position will have a lot of client contact via email and phone, so communication and customer service skills are critical. Must adhere to Systems Operations policies and procedures, and must be comfortable being accountable to two managers.

Position Summary: The Health Information Project Manager works to manage projects related to Systems Operations and other defined Health Information projects. This person will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and budgets. This includes defining the project’s objectives and overseeing its quality. The Health Information Project Manager is also responsible for managing the client relationship and ensuring the clients’ satisfaction with the project.
