"Before the Indiana Health Information Exchange's DOCS4DOCS results delivery / clinical messaging service was implemented in our OB/GYN practice, it took several days for the practice to get clinical results back.
Now, we can review results the very same day of the specimen draw, depending upon the type of test ordered. Before IHIE, the staff would also make dozens of calls each day trying to track down clinical results and there was no efficient way to track results ordered to results received.
Now the staff is now able to reconcile the results ordered (manually recorded) to the results received through IHIE. The medical assistants also use the DOCS4DOCS service frequently."
